Find IP Address of A Website

What ?

Normally we have different address for all houses around us, to get differentiated from others. As of that every machine connected to Internet is also assigned an Address known as Internet Protocol (IP)  Address to get differentiated from other machines connected to the Internet.

Using this IP address we are communicating to other machines connected to Internet as well as every website we are browsing for Information. Using IP address we can determine each and every machines connected.

IP v4 is designed with 32 Bit number, we are using IP version 4 now also. But dew to enormous number of Internet users new version of Internet Protocol Address is  introduced in the year 1995, It is known as IP v6. IP v6 is using 128 bit for the address and it is in the market now.

In this post i will show you to find the IP address of a Website we are browsing.

How to find IP Address ?

You can find the IP address of a website in different ways.

• Find IP using Command Prompt in Windows.

# Step 1 :

Type in "cmd" in Run prompt in windows (Note : Run prompt can taken by "Windows Key + r " )

# Step 2 :

Now type " ping www.domainname.com " and press enter

Please check the below pic, i have pinged blogger.com for finding the IP address of Blogger.

You can see the IP address there on the Pic : "74.125.135.191" its saying 32 Bytes of Data,

We can see also the response time from the Blogger Server. This is how we find the IP address of the website.

• How To Find our own IP Address

# Step 1 :

Type in "cmd" in Run prompt in windows (Note : Run prompt can taken by "Windows Key + r " )

# Step 2 :

Now type in "ipconfig", thats it you can now see your own IP. (You should be connected to Internet)
