In this post i will tell you what is Microblogging. How Microblogging different from normal Blogging concept. How you can get into micro blogging all will be covered in this post.

What is ?

 

Actually the word Micro is derived from Greek Word 'micros' means Tiny. So what will be Micro-blogging. Yes you are thinking in the right way, Micro-blogging is the blogging post with short updates. Technically we can consider Micro-blogging as Broadcasters who are updating some small status for their Subscribers.

In normal blogging we publish posts with more than hundreds of words. But in micro-blogging we are only posting posts with less hundreds of characters. Both are in hundreds but difference is in Words and Characters. Microblogging is very useful when we have something to say to our friends in just few words.

Here we just do publish what we are doing right now, just for the sake of personal informations.

One feature allowing in Micro-Blogging is privacy. We have the privacy settings in our hand to set privacy to some users that we want to share our personal news.

Most of us are Micro-Bloggers because in Facebook and Twitter we are using the same concept, when we are updating our status.

Most Used Microblogging Service In World :

1.  Twitter :  Twitter is one the most used Microblogging Service in the world. Twitter is now having Alexa Rank 8, they are having daily 82,700,000 Unique visitors. In Twitter we can only update status with 140 Characters like a SMS System.
2. Facebook :  Facebook is also a type of Microblogging.
