How To Install Template In Joomla 3.0

How to install template in Joomla 3.0.1, Joomla 2.5.
In this tutorial i will show you "How to install template in Joomla 3.0 ?" that you have downloaded from the web. I am really excited to see their change in the interface look. It is really nice design, they have made change in Joomla 3. Installing template in Joomla is one of the easy thing to do in Joomla, moreover it is very fun. By changing template of the website, we can change whole layout and make it somewhat better than other layout and user friendly.

Before starting first you have to download template that suitable for Joomla 3.0. Search Google and find the template that you wish to install. One point is, template that supported for Joomla 2.5 will not work for Joomla 3.0, so make sure you are downloading template for Joomla 3.0

I am using Template J_51 Oxygen from Joomla51 - Download from Here

How to install ?

# Step 1 :

First Login to your Joomla Administrator Login, Using your Admin username and password

# Step 2 :

Now you are navigated to Joomla Control Panel. There you can Select "Extension Manager" from the top or from Quick Icons on the right side ( Check the below pic if you have some doubt )

You can see Extension Manager on the top as well as on the right side you can select any one of it. Then you will be navigated to extension manager page.

There you can see three Options 

• Upload Package File : When you download template, it will be in zip archive, so you can directly upload that ZIP file and install template
• Install From Directory : This is somewhat similar, here you have to give the local directory that you have saved the downloaded template zip file
• Install From URL : We can directly set the URL of the zip archive.

Here we are using the first option, Upload Package File.

# Step 3 :

Now browse and point to the package file, then just click upload & Install , You are done, you have just installed j_51 template in your Joomla 3.0

This is my path, that i have saved the j51_oxygen.zip file : D:\2012\joom3\joomla 3.0 Template\j51_oxygen.zip

like that you have to point to the zip file in your computer and click Upload & Install.

After install you can edit the template style, color and all from Template manager.

You can see the installed J51_Oxygen template there in template manager. You can set J51_Oxygen template as default and make then template will get active in your site.
